Comet Observations 25th November 2018

46P/ Wirtanen
2018 Nov 25.42 UT; m1= 6.1; Dia= 28'; DC= 4; 7x50 B [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Close to mag 6.4 star, at the Western edge of coma. Moderately condensed, semi-transparent outer coma, opaque inner coma. Possible naked eye but too close to star to be certain.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= S; Cat= TK

Comet Observations 26th November 2018

46P/ Wirtanen
2018 Nov 26.42 UT; m1= 5.7; Dia= 36'; DC= 4; 7x50 B [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Enhances in Swan Band filter. Mag 8.3 star in coma. Comet was faintly visible naked eye but difficult to obtain a naked eye magnitude estimate, however, the naked eye coma diameter was made out to about 1 degree.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

29P/ Schwassmann – Wachmann 1
2018 Nov 26.43 UT; m1= 13.3; Dia= 1.2'; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x83) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Very faint stellar pseudo-nucleus, diffuse outer coma. Post outburst.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= AQ

64P/ Swift - Gehrels
2018 Nov 26.43 UT; m1= 9.1; Dia= 8.5'; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Enhances well in Swan Band filter; Small opaque centre, faintly stellar. Large diffuse and transparent outer coma.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

C/2016 M1 PanSTARRS
2018 Nov 26.44 UT; m1= 10.8; Dia= 3'; DC= 6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Faint stellar pseudo-nucleus; Diffuse semi-transparent inner coma fades to transparent outer coma. Low altitude = 19.2°.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= AQ

C/2018 N2 ASASSN
2018 Nov 26.45 UT; m1= 14.0; Dia= 1'; DC= 3/4; 25cm L, f:5 (x83) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Difficult; Diffuse outer coma, small central condensation.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= S; Cat= AQ
