Hello to the group,
Here are my visual comet observations from 18/19 Aug. All of them were made
by Sándor Szabó's 0.60-m f/4 Dobsonian telescope (603/2440) from Tarján,
Hungary. Hilltop site, elevation 252 m. Sky was so good, naked eye limiting
magnitude was at about 6-6,5.
65P/Gunn
Aug. 18,82 UT m1=13-13,5:, dia.=1', DC=0. 0.60 m reflecting telescope,
244x. Comet is barely visible due to low altitude.
C/2016 N6 (PanSTARRS)
Aug. 18,99 UT m1=15,0; dia.=0,35' (20"), DC=0-1. 0,60-m reflecting
telescope, 305x. Checked on a photo taken on the same night and same
location by Ákos Nagy Mélykuti.
C/2015 ER61 (PanSTARRS)
Aug. 19,00 UT m1=12,1; dia.=1', DC=4. 0,60-m reflecting telescope, 184x.
Coma is so diffuse and round.
C/2017 O1 (ASASSN)
Aug. 19,01 UT m1=10,7 dia.=2,5', m2=15:, DC=s4. 0,60-m reflecting
telescope, 184x. Huge coma with dim nucleus.
C/2011KP36 (Spacewatch)
Aug. 19,03 UT m1=15,4; dia.=0,35' (20"), DC=0. 0,60-m reflecting telescope,
520x. Checked on a photo taken on the same night and same location by Ákos
Nagy Mélykuti.
145P/Shoemaker-Levy 5
Aug. 19,05 UT m1=16,0; dia.=0,25' (15"), DC=0. 0,60-m reflecting telescope,
520x. Seen twice in this night. Datas estimated at the second time. Motion
was detected in a half an hour period. Checked on a photo taken on the same
night and same location by Ákos Nagy Mélykuti.
217P/LINEAR
Aug. 19,06 UT m1=12,5; dia.=1', DC=3. 0,60-m reflecting telescope, 184x.
