SUNSPOTS BREAK A SPACE AGE RECORD: Solar Minimum is officially "deep." 2019 has just broken a Space Age record for days without sunspots. Moreover, an international panel of scientists led by NOAA and NASA predicts that Solar Minimum could deepen even further, not reaching its lowest point until April of 2020. Visit Spaceweather.com for the full story.

VENUS AND SATURN MEET IN THE SUNSET SKY: Tonight, when the sun goes down, step outside and look southwest. Venus and Saturn are having a beautiful close encounter in the sunset sky. If you have a small telescope, you can see the rings of Saturn and the gibbous form of Venus--or just enjoy the pairing with the naked eye. Visit Spaceweather.com for sky maps and observing tips.

Hello everyone,
here is my latest comet observation:

C/2018 W2 (Africano):
2019 Sept. 21.89 UT: m1=8.9, Dia.=5.5', DC=3, 20x80 binoculars
[Diffuse, but fairly easy to see. Moon was just above the horizon and was not visible from the observing position, so it did not interfere the observation.]

The ICQ format is available on COBS https://cobs.si/.

Nice day to all.
