Recent activity on Saturn

Over the last week or so, high resolution observations by Australian
amateurs Trevor Barry, Darryl Millika & Pat Nicholas and Anthony
Wesley have detected activity at latitudes greater than 60 degrees
north on Saturn This activity comprises dark spots and a light streak
or rift.

Images taken by Milika and Nicholas have also revealed some small
light spots at some other latitudes.

Further observations are required to monitor the evolution of this activity.

Mike Foulkes,
Saturn Section Director.
