Comet Observations 22nd June 2017

C/2015 V2 Johnson
2017 Jun 22.46 UT; m1= 7.7; Dia= 13'; DC= 3; 7x50 B [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Coma diffuse, slight brightening to centre.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

65P/ Gunn
2017 Jun 22.47 UT; m1= 13.9; Dia= 0.8'; DC= 2; 25cm L, f:5 (x83) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Very diffuse.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= S; Cat= AQ

71P/ Clark
2017 Jun 22.48 UT; m1= 10.4; Dia= 3.1'; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Inner coma opaque, sometimes stellar at centre, outer coma fanned to the NW approximately. Centre enhances slightly in Swan Band filter.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= AQ

41P/ Tuttle – Giacobini - Kresak
2017 Jun 22.74 UT; m1= 11.1; Dia= 3.5'; DC= 2/3; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Close to star.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= S; Cat= AQ

29P/ Schwassmann – Wachmann 1
2017 Jun 22.75 UT; m1= 13.5; Dia= 1'; DC= 2; 25cm L, f:5 (x83) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Diffuse patch of light, slightly brighter in centre.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= S; Cat= AQ

217P/ LINEAR
2017 Jun 22.75 UT; m1= 13.3; Dia= 0.8'; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x83) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Coma diffuse, opaque with small central condensation, almost stellar. Slightly elongated to the South-East approximately.
Comparison stars checked using APASS data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= AQ

C/2015 ER61 PanSTARRS
2017 Jun 22.76 UT; m1= 9.3; Dia= 4.1'; DC= 5; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Faint tail visible, 10.5' in length in P.A. 260°; Coma dims slightly in Swan Band filter. Inner coma appears elongated to the South-West approximately, Fragment B just noticeable as a diffuse smudge behind the central condensation in the coma. Magnitude refers to total combined light of the pair.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

Please find enclosed a list of my recent comet observations in ICQ format.
Magnitudes are derived from large aperture photometry of CCD/DSLR images
(using green filter or green color channel) and are supposed to conform
to visual estimates of total coma magnitudes.

Remote observations were carried out using telescopes from iTelescope.net.
For image reduction and photometric analysis I used my AIRTOOLS software
(see https://github.com/ewelot/airtools).
