[BAA 00512] Computing Section - New planetary and satellite positions applets

======================================================================
BAA electronic bulletin No. 00512

Two new, and very useful applets have been added to the Computing
Section's website.
The first applet shows very clearly the relative positions of the Sun,
Moon and planets.
It can be adjusted for any date, past or future, and allows you to see
what's in the sky without recourse to planetarium software, tables or
charts.
The second applet shows the relative positions of Jupiter and Uranus
which come into very close conjunction this month (September), and again
in early January 2011.
Both applets were written by Graham Relf, and if you have any ideas for
future applets please let me know.
The Computing section website can be found from the BAA website:
http://www.britastro.org
or directly: http://britastro.org/computing/
