program, engineers across the globe are dutifully verifying the
International Space Station can safely survive another two decades in
orbit.

SPACE STATION RECEIVES LATEST RUSSIAN RESUPPLY SHIP

A Russian cargo freighter flying on autopilot performed a successful
rendezvous and docking with the space station Sunday morning, delivering
two-and-a-half tons of supplies for the international outpost in
uneventful fashion.

DISCOVERY MOUNTED TO TANK AND BOOSTERS FOR FINAL TIME

Moving a major step closer to its final spaceflight before retirement,
shuttle Discovery took a road trip Thursday morning from the hangar to the
nearby Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center for attachment to
the external fuel tank and twin solid rockets. Engineers ran into trouble
Friday morning with one of the main bolts that connect the orbiter to the
tank, but the problem was fixed Saturday.

NAVIGATION CRAFT LAUNCHED TO SHOW THE WAY IN JAPAN

An H-2A rocket flew to space Saturday with a Japanese satellite to meet a
pressing need for improved navigation services amid the country's numerous
mountains and high-rise buildings. Liftoff was at 1117 GMT (7:17 a.m.
EDT).
