Go along corton road and just before Potters turn right through the open gate and down a dirt track until reaching the perimeter gate, stop and gain access via intercom. Meet 8-30 onwards on both evenings. Weather permitting ( don't go if overcast or raining) Contact Cttee with offers or requests for  transport
  2. AUGUST 22ND (SAT) KESSINGLAND FETE; LYRA EXHIBITION STAND ON GREEN ADJACENT TO WORKING MENS CLUB. TIME 2PM -5PM. Lyra members are invited to attend and help with the stall which will have info and scopes including solar for viewing. Contact Dennis Woodhead and Colin Watling who are organizing the event. All help will be welcome as we want to boost our presence in Kessingland after the very successful visit and talk to the very young students at the primary school in July. They were enthralled at LYRA Chairman Leonard Brundles ingeniously designed Orrery which had an additional moving part on display for the first time.
  3. LOWESTOFT LIBRARY EXHIBTION  WEEK BEGINNING  SAT OCT 10TH  UNTIL SAT OCT 17TH. This will coincide with our public meeting on OCTOBER 13TH when MARK WYATT FROM THE CAMBS IOA will be talking on 'EXTRA SOLAR PLANETARY SYSTEMS' which will take place in the conference room upstairs. Members are invited to help by sitting in and handing out flyers during the exhibition either on the 2 Sats when scopes will be set up or during the week if  willing and able. Our presence might boost attendance and maybe even some new members as a result of stimulating and jocular discussions with our indomitable LYRA members.!!!
